Experienced physical implementation engineer (M/F)

Mission context

As part of its development and strong growth, Xdigit is strengthening its design team.

As a Physical Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for all or part of the physical implementation of blocks or complete circuits.

You will report directly to the CTO.

Join the Xdigit adventure and contribute your talent to the company's growth. The position will be based at our Grenoble site (38) or in the Bouches du Rhône region (13).

Main missions

  • Realize circuits from RTL to GDSII with the expected level of performance: surface area, speed, power consumption.
  • Establish timing constraints in collaboration with the RTL code designer and circuit architect.
  • Execute design placement, optimization, clock tree synthesis and routing (floorplan, placement, routing).
  • Define and implement DfT (Design For Test) on digital or top partitions, up to the generation and verification of test models for the industrial test program.
  • Perform Sign Off checks (Power, Timing, DRC & LVS).
  • Carry out all circuit validation steps up to GDSII generation.

Skills

  • Engineering degree, Master's or PhD in digital circuit design and evaluation.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in physical implementation, routing placement.
  • Knowledge of DFT and STA.
  • Ability to set up a design flow for complex circuits.
  • Experience of block implementation on technology nodes ranging from 130nm to 22nm and IP floorplanning.
  • Proficiency in TCL and ideally Python.
  • Knowledge of ICC (Synopsys), Innovus (Cadence), PrimeTime, Design Compiler, Tessent, etc.
  • Good level of English required for communication with suppliers and customers.
